Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Cairo

Arrival to Cairo airport, Upon you arrival you will find our representative waiting you with the sign of Ramasside tours, then you will be transferred by A/C car to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.


Day 2: Giza Pyramids / Egyptian Museum

Breakfast. Start your day visiting the Egyptian Museum of antiquities. On display is a rare collection of 5000 years of art the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry, as it was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated.

Visit the Great Pyramids – Cheops, Chephren & Mykerions. Cheops is the most colossal ever built. Next is a close-up look at Sphinx – a huge funeral complex guarded by the legendary lion body with the face of king Chephren.

(Optional) Evening trip to attend the Sound & Light show in the Pyramids area.
Back to the hotel & overnight in Cairo.


Day 3: Alexandria

Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel, Travel to Alexandria to start your tour with the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit it’s open court and free museums.

Note: Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays and on every public holiday. To enter the reading area you will need to purchase an extra ticket.

Then visit the Site of the Lighthouse; one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World on which now stands the castle of Qaitbey. Visit the royal gardens of King Farouk (the last king in the history of Egypt) and see the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek as well as the royal beaches of the queens.

Continue your tour by visiting the prettiest and biggest mosque in the city: the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, as well as the memorial of the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria and the statue of Alexander the Great.
You can then stop for lunch before visiting the church of St. Mark – the oldest church in Africa before driving along the Cornish (30 km) to see the whole city of Alexandria from the sea side which includes the old harbor of Alexandria where we found 7000 monuments underwater.

Stop over the famous bridge of Stanley – the modern landmark of modern Alexandria, before visiting the old downtown of Alexandria and walking through the old city-center of Alexandria: built by Alexander the great.

Alexandria has so much to see, feel, eat and buy so if you have time and want to add more to your itinerary – just let us know what you are interested in and we will arrange it for you at the cost price – no profit to us.

Travel in comfort back to Cairo to get in your train to Luxor, Dinner and overnight onboard.

Note: We don’t recommend it, it takes 15 to 18 hours. We recommend that you upgrade and take a domestic flight which allows you to travel in comfort and gives you an extra night in a 5 star hotel.


Day 4: Luxor East Bank

Breakfast on the train. Arrival and transfer to East bank of Luxor to visit the Karnak Temples, the greatest example of worship in history and was dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. It was constructed from the beginning of the Middle Kingdom to the Graeco Roman Kingdom.

Then move to Luxor Temple. It was built by Amunhotep III in 18th Dynasty in the New Kingdom and it was completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty. King Ramses II was the most famous king in the 19th Dynasty. He ruled Egypt for about 67 years.

It was dedicated to the great god Amun-Ra, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu together representing the Theban triad. Enjoy visiting Obelisk of Ramses II in front of the 1st Pylon. Transfer to the hotel & overnight in Luxor.


Day 5: Luxor West Bank

Breakfast,  start your tour to the West Bank – Valley of the Kings, Colossal of Memnon and Hatshepsut Temple.

Excursion to the Necropolis of Thebes. Crossing the Nile, drive to the Valley of Kings; visit the tombs of various Dynasties. The Temple of Deir El Bahari. On the return journey stop at the Colossi of Memnon which are two gigantic sitting statues representing Amenophis III facing the Nile. and visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.

Optional: Hot Balloon: Should you want to make your stay in Luxor an unforgettable. Drifting peacefully over the Valley of King, Valley of the Queens and the Mountain on the Nobles.
The flight is approximately 30:45 minutes depend on the weather


Day 6: Aswan

Breakfast . Transfer to Aswan by train. Arrival, and transfer to start your Tour of High Dam-Temple of Philae Island Sail to the island of Agilkia. Visit the temple that was removed from their original island of Philae which lies submerged most of the year by the waters of Lake Nasser.

The main Temple of Isis and its monuments were built between the 26th-dynasty and the Roman period. Return to the mainland and drive to Aswan for a view of the high Dam which was completed in 1964. From here you can gaze across Lake Nasser.

Transfer to take the train to Cairo. Dinner and overnight onboard the train.


Day 7: Cairo

Breakfast onboard. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Free day – optional activities:
Memphis & Sakkara Tour.
Castle of Salah El Dien , Mohamed Aly Mosque & Old Cairo Tour.

Overnight in Cairo.
